Our classes are structured by both age group and level. Age groups serve as a general guide to help students train and grow alongside others of a similar age, while still being encouraged to choose classes that challenge and support their individual development. Students are encouraged to remain within their age category to make the most of their time training in each division. This also supports long-term progression and helps ensure a smoother transition into competition teams, particularly when considering age limits for crews in the future.

A student may move up a level if they wish to be more challenged. Students and guardians can speak with Deanne or their class teacher for advice and guidance on whether moving up is appropriate. If ready, guardians are advised to notify Deanne in class or via email. Guardians can also enrol their child in the available next-level class directly through StudioLAB

What makes KSTAR truly special is that once you’re part of the KSTAR family, you’ll always be part of it. Our events, open classes, and pop-ups always welcome back alumni, because we believe dance is something that stays with you for life. We’re incredibly proud of the paths many of our past students have taken- some are pursuing dance teaching full-time or part-time, performing for or being hired to work for big names such as AFL x Snoop Dogg, AFL x KISS, Coldplay, Baker Boy, and more! Other achievements have included teaching at international dance camps, sharing their skills across Melbourne and Australia, and even representing Australia on the world stage at Red Bull Dance Your Style. We cherish the family we’ve built over the past 22 years and always love seeing familiar faces return!

Pathways & Progression
-
To help students focus and make the most progress during class, parents are not permitted inside the studios during classes, except for the last 5 minutes of the session. Exceptions are made at the start of the year/term for preschool students who may need some reassurance and encouragement from their parents
-
We recommend that parents drop off and pick up students only.
-
If parents wish to stay, they must remain in the reception lounge and be mindful of noise that may distract classes. Parents of preschool and Minis students should stay in the reception lounge or nearby in the carpark in case their child needs them. Parents are also responsible for supervising any young children who are not participating in class
-
If you are running late to pick up your child, please call our business number. Students should wait in the reception area until collected—for safety no student is to wait in the car park
-
Ample parking is available in front of the studio and within the complex. Please do not park in front of neighbouring warehouse roller doors. If the complex is full, street parking is available on Eucumbene Drive.cription
